We were at CODE:ME Shell as Obsigen AI's substantive partner — and why it mattered

Obsigen AI joined as the knowledge partner of the “Cybersecurity & Dual Use” event at the University of Gdańsk, part of the CODE:ME Shell programme. Why Dual Use sits in our DNA — and what we're taking away from the day.

Obsigen AI participated in CODE:ME Shell as a knowledge partner – and why it mattered

Digital security isn't built in corporate conference rooms. It's built where people learn it from the ground up, swap real experience and grow a community. That's why we were proud to join the "Cybersecurity & Dual Use" event — part of the CODE:ME Shell programme at the University of Gdańsk — as the knowledge partner.

About the programme

CODE:ME Shell is an intensive scholarship programme for professionally active women from the Pomeranian region who want to build practical competencies in cybersecurity, data protection, systems administration and Dual Use technologies. Run by the CODE:ME Foundation together with the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in cooperation with the University of Gdańsk, it combines workshops, a hands-on project, expert mentoring and competence validation.

The numbers speak for themselves: over 150 attendees across the events, dozens of scholarship graduates, several dozen hours of training and twenty industry experts. But the most important part isn't the numbers — it's the atmosphere. A room full of people of different ages and backgrounds, united by one thing: a desire to help build a safer digital world. Why "Dual Use" lands in our DNA

"Dual Use" describes technologies that fit several contexts at once. That's exactly the philosophy on which we built Obsigen AI — our European enterprise-class AI agent. Obsigen isn't a tool that's "only for cybersecurity". It's a single platform that delivers real outcomes in cybersecurity and the SOC, but works equally well in manufacturing and supply chain, e-commerce, and sales and customer service — from alert triage and attack-surface mapping, through predictive maintenance, to board-ready reports and presentations.

What ties these use cases together is the principle we kept coming back to in the corridor conversations: AI should plan, execute and deliver an outcome — not just answer questions — and it should do so safely, inside the European Economic Area, with data residency and compliance (GDPR and the EU AI Act) handled by design. For us, security and usefulness aren't an either/or.

What we're taking away

Events like this one are a reminder that the AI transformation in security is really a transformation of people's competencies, not just technology. We're glad we could support a programme that opens the door to the industry for people who'd had limited access to it before — including residents of counties beyond the Tri-City. It's how the Pomeranian tech ecosystem grows, and we're part of that ecosystem ourselves.

Thanks to the organisers and the whole CODE:ME Shell community, to the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at the University of Gdańsk, and to all the partners for the invitation and the energy. See you at the next editions.
